Blender

Blender is a 3D modeling and Animating suite. I first discovered it about three years ago. Since then I have gone from having no skill at all in it and a computer that really couldn't handle it (Don't laugh, it was an AMD K6/233 with 64MB RAM running Windows 98SE) to my current computer (An Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz and 2GB RAM) and a moderate amount of skill in modeling, animating, and game design.

Blender is an open-source program, produced by Blender Foundation and available here. I have never used any other 3D modeling programs, but from what I have heard, Blender is significantly easier to use then a lot of other programs, albeit maybe not as powerful.
