Update...

Well, I hope you all (whoever's reading this) had a good Christmas! I know I did...Despite the fact that Amazon didn't deliver my Fiancee's presents on time...*glares* In fact, they *still* haven't delivered them yet...*glares some more*

Oh well. Katie got me the complete score for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, and my parents got me a life-size replica of William Wallace's broadsword, so that was cool...

It's been several days since my last post...I've been really busy lately...The past several days Katie and I have been working trying to get the restaurant behind her parent's store cleaned out...We're going to turn it into an apartment for us to live in after we're married. We've finally got most everything out...My grandparents came up today and we did some plumbing and wiring...We're going to expand the bathroom and add a shower, and that required some juggling of pipes...But that's taken care of now, and we have a new toilet - One that actually flushes!!

Sorry...I'm rather tired right now...Been a long day and I need to head to bed...

But before I go I wanted to post something else....

Tell me where its hurting
Are you burning?
Running just to catch your breath
And going nowhere
It's getting old when you feel like you got nothing left
Well it ain't over 'til it's over
I told you since the day we met
So let me be the voice through all the noise
Whatever I gotta be
I'll be for you

Whatever you need from me
To see you through
Everyone of us has stumbled
Everybody's humbled
We hit the ground and our lives crumble

Whatever I gotta be
I'll be for you
I'm for you
If you never knew
If you never knew
I'm for you
You know it's true

I know the feeling
I know it's real when the drama's all in your face
You see a mountain
I hear a promise - it's never more than we can take
Well it ain't over, 'til it's over
We can turn from our mistakes
So let me be the voice through all the noise

Everyone of us will fall
Have our backs against the wall
And everyone shares a need to be loved
You've always been for me
So I will be for you
That's just what it means to love

I love you Katie!!!

Some Ranting and Raving

I sit here in front of my computer shivering, my fingers freezing as I type this up...I'm doing some research for one of my practice logs for GeekU, at the moment, before I head to work. GeekU is going fairly well - After almost a month of not posting anything for my PL's I finally got my third one posted, and only had one error! How about that...

Currently Listening to ~ Already Over - Red

Christmas is getting nearer and nearer - only 10 days left. There is something that bothers me about that tho...And I'm sure it's been complained about many times before, but I'm going to complain about it again.

My problem with is not with Christmas, by any means. No, my problem is with what people make Christmas into. I think back to Black Friday and the worker who was trampled to death in Wal-Mart as he tried to open the doors. Or the man who shot two people over a toy. That is my problem with Christmas. People fighting and killing to get what they want, and not caring about what anyone else might want.

Wake up people! Three persons are dead, dead! because of greed. While greed may seem harmless, look at the family and friends of those three dead men. Could you imagine having to tell your kids that Daddy got killed at Wal-Mart this morning? Or that Daddy was killed while trying to buy you a Christmas present?

Christmas changed from being a time of joy at Christ's birth to a time of greed, jealousy. From a time of love and giving to a time of hate and getting exactly what one wants.

It's been said before, and I'll say it again. Christmas isn't about getting! It's about giving! It's about following God's example when he gave us His son Christ and giving others gifts, and not caring about what you get!

We wonder why America is in the state it's in today. It's because parents didn't disciplined their children, and now their children don't know how to discipline their own children. It's because the Church is more concerned with getting more people in the doors then with discipling the people they already have.

I can only hope that someone will read this and be affected by it. I'm really struck by a verse on the song Learn to Breathe by Thousand Foot Krutch - "I wanna take you, wanna shake you, wanna make you feel like I do. Wanna take you, wanna breake you, wanna make you know what it's like. I won't fight you, I'm not like you, wanna make you see what I see. I won't fight you, I'm not like you, wanna make feel like I feel..."

I hope and pray that some day America will wake up and realize where they're headed. A long dark path away from God and hope. That could start to be changed, however, if people would just start taking the right attitude about Christmas.

Hope I didn't get too off topic here... :-P

Finally online!

Currently Listening to ~ The Last Night - Skillet
Well, after a few issues with FTP directories and paths, this blog is finally viewable online!! Had a couple of my web developing Uncles help me get it set up over Thanksgiving vacation, and so now I have a live blog. Thanks guys!

Well, this'll probably be a short post, because I'm supposed to be working on my Business Math homework right now... *guilty grin* but I feel like taking a break.

Currently Listening to ~ Comatose - Skillet
I love this song that I'm listening to (see above ^) because it's such a perfect example of what most Christians (myself included) live their spiritual lives like - comatose. "Comatose, I'll never wake up without an overdose of you..."

Currently Listening To ~ Rebirthing - Skillet
I'm on a Skillet role this morning, can you tell? :-D I love this song too. :-)

Well, I've invited my Fiancee to post on this blog too, so as soon as she gets her internet back hopefully she'll post something. Alright, Katie? ;-)

Ta-ta...I gotta go back to my homework...
